Posted November 25, 2015. Sit inside and close all the doors. Turn the key in the ignition till the lights on the dash come on and press one of buttons on the key fob until the car locks and unlocks. That will identify the key has been recoded to the car. Turn the ignition so all the lights go off and retry to start car.
There isn't a service light on the Mk2 Focus, the warning you're getting is something like 'engine service now' iirc, which is actually a fault warning, that is most likely being caused by this DPF issue.
Sat 12 Apr 2014 13:59. Focus 1.6 tdci - Glow Plugs - E-Chen. 2007 Focus with 92000 on clock. Engine System Fault showed glow plug circuit. Garage checked glowplugs and found all four were faulty. 5 October 2020 at 5:32PM. On the way to work this morning the engine management light on my 2014 64-plate Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI came on, no warning beeps or anything, just the light came on. I carried on to work as there didn't appear to be anything different with the way the car was driving.
If I try to clear the code the yellow check engine light disappears and the tool shows 0 codes, but the warning screen still shows and the car is still in limp mode.
