The engine in our car was a 2.5 liter V6, apparently unique to the X-Type but derived from the Ford Duratec family of engines. It featured variable valve timing, 4 valves per cylinder, and produced 192hp at 6800 rpm with 180 ft-lbs of torque at 3000 rpm.
