Just trying to understand your use case. Transformer models are better trained on GPU or XLA. The AI accelerators on M1 and M2 still do not compare. 64 GB is overkill for 99% programmers. If you would be in 1% you wouldn’t ask such question. Though if there is a choice only between this 2 then I would go for M1 also.
